Operation Policy


This operation policy is established by Universe Stationery Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") in the process of operating the Storynation service (hereinafter referred to as the "Service"), to consistently address problems that may arise within the Service. This policy sets the standards for the operation of the Service and the detailed matters that members must comply with. Failure to comply with the operating policy may result in disadvantages in all services provided by the Company, so please read carefully. The meanings of terms used in this operating policy are the same as the definitions and usages in the Terms of Service.


The Company strives to establish reasonable operating policies through continuous exchange of opinions with members regarding the Service and will announce them through the Service announcements at least 7 days in advance.



Content Policy

This policy serves as a safety measure to protect users of the Service and targets all posts that can be seen by users of the Service, including the universe, story, and settings posted within the Service. For matters not listed below, refer to relevant laws or orders from government agencies, and the content policy may change according to changes in our policy, relevant laws, or government orders.



A. Principles and Procedures for Sanctions in Case of Policy Violation

If there is a potential violation of the content policy, the following measures will be taken for the post: 1st Stage-Hide, 2nd Stage-Delete, and for the member involved: 1st Stage-Warning, 2nd Stage-Account Temporary Suspension, 3rd Stage-Account Permanent Suspension.

Reports or repeated policy violations will result in sequential application of higher-level sanctions. However, immediate higher-level sanctions may be applied without accumulation of steps depending on the severity of the policy violation and the type of post.


1. Posts

- 1st Stage (Hide): If there is a potential violation of the content policy or a relevant report is received, the post will be hidden within the Service so it is not exposed to other users. Additionally, the title or content of the post, the reason for the sanction, and the accumulated number of hides/deletes will be notified through individual notifications within the Service.

- 2nd Stage (Delete): If the post remains unmodified after the 1st stage (Hide) measure, or if it is modified but still potentially violates the content policy, the post will be deleted from the Service. Additionally, the title or content of the post, the reason for the sanction, and the accumulated number of hides/deletes will be notified through individual notifications within the Service.

2. Members

- 1st Stage (Warning): Up to two accumulations of post hide/delete actions, the member who posted the content will be warned through individual notifications within the Service. The notification includes information about higher-level member sanction measures.

- 2nd Stage (Account Temporary Suspension): At the accumulation of 3/4/5 post hide/delete actions, the member will face 1 week/2 weeks/1 month of account temporary suspension, respectively. During the suspension period, the member is systemically prohibited from posting any content.

- 3rd Stage (Account Permanent Suspension): At the accumulation of 6 post hide/delete actions, the member will face account permanent suspension. The member's account will be permanently suspended, and payment of earnings will also be stopped. The Company may reclaim the member's previous earnings and impose fees, and the permanently suspended account cannot be recovered.


B. Definition of Policy Violation Posts

Based on the Information and Communication Network Act, the Youth Protection Act, the Personal Information Protection Act, the Display Advertising Act, etc., the following posts are defined as "Policy Violation Posts":


1. Hate and Conflict Incitement

- Content discriminating or promoting prejudice based on gender, age, religion, race, ethnicity, disability, nationality, sexual orientation, gender identity, social status, region, occupation, etc.

- Content including political agitation.

- Other content inciting hate and conflict.

2. Violence and Crime Promotion

- Content glamorizing, encouraging, or promoting crime-related matters.

- Content glamorizing or promoting self-harm, suicide, or other forms of mental/physical abuse.

- Content explicitly depicting or promoting brutal and violent scenes such as kidnapping, human trafficking, murder, injury, torture, etc.

- Content glamorizing acts of violence against women and children.

- Other content promoting violence and crime.

3. Pornography

The Company, as an operator of a content brokerage platform, cannot be the judge of pornographic content. However, for the safe operation of the Service and protection of users, the current laws and guidelines set by relevant organizations are applied to the content policy as follows:

(1) Potential for Pornography: Depending on the degree, 1st Stage (Hide), 2nd Stage (Delete) sanctions for posts, and 1st Stage (Warning) measures for members.

- Excessive depiction of the naked body in a sexually suggestive manner that may qualify as pornographic.

- Depictions of sexual acts that are illegal or degrade human dignity and value that may qualify as pornographic.

- Depictions where the artistic value etc., aimed at reducing or moderating sexual arousal, is minimal, thus potentially qualifying as pornographic.

- Other cases potentially violating relevant laws.

(2) Descriptions that may Qualify as Pornography: Depending on the degree, 1st Stage (Hide), 2nd Stage (Delete) sanctions for posts, and 1st Stage (Warning), 2nd Stage (Account Temporary Suspension), 3rd Stage (Account Permanent Suspension) measures for members.

- Intense depictions of acts that are difficult to accept by social norms, such as sexual violence crimes (rape, gang rape, sexual harassment, etc.), bestiality, necrophilia, incest, sadism, masochism, etc., as defined in the regulations on information communication deliberation.

- Explicit depiction of sexual organs or acts without any filtering.

- Other cases requiring urgent measures due to violation of relevant laws.

(3) Others: Immediate 2nd Stage (Delete) sanction for posts and 3rd Stage (Account Permanent Suspension) measure for members.

- Content or links of pornographic nature.

- Content aimed at promoting or advertising porn sites, adult products, illegal information, etc.

- Content promoting prostitution.

4. Commercial Advertising and Spam

- Cases where the economic interest is not clearly indicated, preventing consumers from recognizing it as advertising.

- Content including advertising of environments harmful to youth as defined by the Youth Protection Act (including youth harmful media, youth harmful drugs, youth harmful objects, youth harmful businesses, etc.).

- Cases where the same content is repeatedly posted, potentially impairing the content consumption environment for users.

5. Copyright Infringement

According to copyright law, creative expressions that are concretely expressed externally through words, sounds, colors, etc., are protected as copyright works, and copyright arises for the author from the moment of creation.

As an online service provider, the Company has an obligation under Article 103 of the Copyright Act to immediately stop the reproduction and transmission of works that infringe on someone else's copyright and notify the rights claimant and the reproducer/transmitter. However, as an operator of a content brokerage platform, the Company cannot legally determine the illegality or infringement of copyright and rights infringement posts.

- Cases where works are copied identically without the permission of the original author.

- Cases where parts or the entirety of works with clear originality and authorship are reproduced and distributed without authorization.

- Cases of illegal sharing or sharing methods of files of novels, comics, movies, broadcasts, games, music, etc.

- Content that includes encouragement or sale of illegal reproduction software.

- Cases of unauthorized infringement of others' rights, such as copyright, trademark, design rights, etc.

- Other cases potentially violating relevant laws.

6. Defamation and Infringement of Personal Information

- Cyber sexual violence.

- Cyberstalking.

- Cases of disparaging individuals or groups by stating facts or false facts for the purpose of slander.

- Leakage of others' personal information such as addresses, personal email addresses, personal phone numbers, bank account information, etc.

- Other cases potentially violating relevant laws.
